Project 2: Adam's Berry Farm


1.  What do you feel are some of the major strengths of your business?  How about weaknesses?

Strengths- Quality of product, relationships in the community, certified organic, welcoming and public oriented farm

Weakness- challenge in our farm move and transition to new land. Fear loss of some of our customer base but chance to create new

2.  Are there any potential marketing opportunities for your business that you are aware of, but are not currently taking advantage of?

More web and social media presence. Events…

3.  What kind of competition do you deal with running a community-oriented berry farm?

California and corporate agriculture, other smaller organic berry growers, local conventional growers

4.  What is the most common way you think new customers hear about your business?

Word of mouth, farmers market, wholesale accounts

5.  What do you hope to accomplish through your marketing efforts?

Greater outreach, message/ story, connect customers from old farm to new farm location

6.  How are you currently spending money on marketing?

Branding efforts through magnet, label update for frozen berries for wholesale. Keeps customers connected year round to local fruit. Farm T shirts

7.  Are you currently using television, radio, magazines, or newspapers for any of your marketing efforts?

We have used 7 days. Most others are a waste of money

8.  How would you describe your target audience?

Health and environmentally conscious families and individuals that care about local, sustainable and organic foods. Foodies. Kids. Those looking to connect with their food source
